SteakandSeafood.com is a free recipe collection for home cooks. Our recipes focus on steak and beef, seafood, chicken, and pork, and every recipe includes a full ingredient list with step-by-step instructions so you can get dinner on the table without guesswork.
We also publish a cooking guide with practical tips on preparing and cooking meat and seafood, from choosing cuts to getting the timing right.
Steak and Seafood is built and run by the family behind BostonApartments.com, Boston's family-run apartment rental site. BostonApartments.com has been online since 1995, which makes it older than Google, launched in 1998. We started SteakandSeafood.com in 2011 to share the kinds of straightforward, reliable recipes we cook ourselves — no fluff, just what's for dinner tonight.
Every recipe on the site has a toolbar above the ingredients:
Most recipe photos on this site are illustrations, created to show what the finished dish looks like. Photos taken while family members cooked are labeled on the recipe, like Sofia's Korean Beef Ramen, which was photographed in her kitchen, and the recipes from Baking with Aly, which come with her videos.
Every recipe has a "Did you make this?" link. We read every note, use them to improve the recipes, and never publish made-up reviews or ratings.
Many of the recipes on this site come from the recipe book of Sandra Mills, a member of our family who trained at Le Cordon Bleu in France. Her book is a thick binder of typed recipes, organized in sections, collected over years of cooking and entertaining. We publish her recipes as she wrote them, with her own notes and tips, and credit her on every page. Recipes with a person's name in the title are named for members of our family.
Every recipe lists prep time, cook time, any marinating or resting time, and how many people it serves, so you can plan before you start. Ingredients are listed in the order you use them, and the instructions are broken into short, numbered steps. Where it matters, we include the internal temperature that tells you food is done, following USDA safe minimum temperatures, along with tips and answers to common questions.
