Privacy Policy

SteakandSeafood.com ("we", "our", "this site") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use this website and our mobile app, how it is used, and the choices you have. If you have questions about this policy, please contact us.

Information We Collect

This site does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask you to provide personal information to browse our recipes. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include in your message, and we use it only to respond to you.

To let pages load quickly and work without a connection, your browser may save copies of pages, images and our recipe index on your device. These copies contain no personal information and stay on your device.

Cookies and Advertising

We use cookies to operate this site and to understand how visitors use it. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.

For more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Affiliate Links

Some links on this site are affiliate links, including links to Florida Premium Beef and Meatzy through the Impact affiliate network. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked, and our recipes are never changed to promote a product.

When you click an affiliate link, the affiliate network and the store may place cookies or use similar technology to record that you came from our site, so the sale can be credited to us. That information is collected by them under their own privacy policies. We receive only summary reports of clicks and sales, not your name, address or payment details.

We also link to products from Shortsleeve.com, our own online store. Purchases there are handled by that store and its checkout provider under its own policies.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use this site, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last and which outside links are clicked. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information in aggregate form. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Log Data

Like most websites, our servers automatically record standard log information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time of your visit. We use this information to operate, secure and improve the site, and we do not link it to personally identifiable information.

Managing Cookies

Most web browsers let you view, block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, the recipes and guides on this site will still work, but ads may be less relevant to you and affiliate purchases may not be credited to us.

Our Mobile App

The Steak and Seafood app for iPhone and Android keeps your favorites, shopping list and cooking timers on your device only. We do not collect or receive them, and they are deleted when you remove the app. The app downloads updated recipes from SteakandSeafood.com, and timer reminders are local notifications created on your device.

The app does not show ads and does not collect analytics or any personal information. If a future version adds ads through Google AdMob, this policy will be updated before that version is released.

Links in the app, including affiliate links, open in your phone's web browser, where the website's or store's own cookies and policies apply.

Your Privacy Choices

We do not sell your personal information for money. Like most sites that show ads, we allow Google and other advertising partners to use cookies to show personalized ads, which some state laws, such as California's, may treat as sharing for advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time using Google Ads Settings, www.aboutads.info/choices, your browser's cookie settings, or, in the app, the ad privacy choices on the About screen.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct or delete it. Because we do not keep accounts, we usually hold nothing beyond any email you have sent us. To make a request, please contact us.

Links to Other Websites

Our pages link to other websites, including recipe sources, stores and affiliate partners. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

This site and app are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, with the date below updated.
