What's for dinner tonight?
Steak and Seafood is a free collection of 40 dinner recipes for home cooks, built around the four things most of us cook most often: beef and steak, fish and shellfish, chicken and pork. Every recipe tells you up front how long it takes and how many people it serves, lists every ingredient, and walks you through the cooking in numbered steps.
The site has been answering the question "what's for dinner tonight?" since 2011. The recipes lean toward dependable, family-style cooking: weeknight casseroles that bake in one dish, quick skillet dinners, grilled steaks, chops and kabobs for summer, and a few showpieces for when company is coming. Along with the recipes you will find practical guides to choosing and cooking steak, buying and storing seafood, and the safe internal temperatures for every kind of meat and fish.
If you are new here, three good places to start are the Baked Shrimp with Garlic Parmesan Crumbs, ready in about 30 minutes; London Broil with Sauteed Onions, a lean flank steak that broils in ten minutes; and the Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, a classic that never goes out of style.

The seafood guide covers how to tell if fish is fresh, how to store and thaw it safely, and how to know when fish and shellfish are done. The cooking guide brings together safe minimum temperatures and the main cooking methods for seafood, steak, chicken and pork, and our dessert page suggests what to serve after a steak or seafood dinner.
