This hot cocoa mix makes one quart of cocoa per batch, and Sandra Mills usually makes several batches at once and keeps them in a jar. Unsweetened cocoa, powdered milk, sugar and a dash of salt are all it takes. Stir a heaping quarter cup into a mug of boiling water.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/3 cups powdered milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Dash of salt

Instructions

  1. Mix. Combine all the ingredients and store in a jar.
  2. Make a cup. For one cup of cocoa, mix a heaping 1/4 cup of the mixture with boiling water.

Tips

  • A jar of mix with a ribbon makes a nice holiday gift.
